Introduct Begins Collaboration with MFA to Support Consular Systems
We’re glad to announce that Introduct has officially begun work on a significant procurement contract with the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). At Introduct, we’re proud to support essential governmental systems. Moreover, it’s not just about government; it’s about providing quality and reliable digital services for citizens and consular staff.
Project Overview
The contract focuses on maintaining and improving three key information systems: CONSUL, Broneeringud, and AULIK. These platforms manage core consular and administrative operations. These systems play an important role in government and are a national priority. That is why we’d like to talk more about our main role here, what we did, and how it influences overall system stability.
Before we started working on these systems, part of the systems had already been migrated to the Symfony framework. It’s important to notice that much of their architecture remains on older technologies. The main idea was to improve overall performance while preserving systems’ operations at all times and keeping their stability.
Our Responsibilities
To improve the overall performance and reliability of the systems while expanding products’ functionality. In simple terms, a complete range of services provided to support the systems’ lifecycle is:
- Ongoing software maintenance
- Development of new features
- Technical support
- System documentation
- Coordination of security testing
- Ensuring operational reliability
The main challenge here is an outdated system that was partially migrated. Due to these conditions, our development plan is to proceed with a careful and methodical approach. That is why, while maintaining systems, we focused mainly on stability, consistency, and safe implementation of updates.
At Introduct, we’re proud to help MFA maintain and support critical consular services and ensure that these systems remain reliable during the transition to future solutions. Contact us to get professional help.
