“Empowerment Is a Continuous Journey” — Samiha Al Maawali, Executive Director of Introduct Oman Academy 

The Introduct Oman Academy is already making first steps in the direction of preparing job-ready talent in Oman. In a recent Majlis program interview, our Executive Director, Samiha Al Maawali, shared how the Academy bridges the gap between academic education and real-world employment. 

You may remember our previous news about Introduct signing partnerships and launching programs in Oman. There we were talking about the Academy’s ongoing efforts to develop emerging competencies and provide real career opportunities. 

In the program, Samiha explained the Academy’s unique approach: “We don’t just offer training. We place trainees in real work environments and involve them in real projects. The most distinguished participants are then introduced to our strategic partners.” This differentiates the Academy from other training programs.  

The Academy focuses on practical experience, continuous evaluation, and connecting graduates with real employers. Only the most committed participants progress to the final stage. “Empowerment is a comprehensive and continuous journey. It does not stop when someone gets a job. A person should always look for ways to grow and acquire new skills,” said Samiha. 

The Skills That Actually Matter

Introduct Oman Academy also provides specialized tracks in artificial intelligence (AI) and data analysis, keeping up with global technology trends. But as Samiha emphasized, “Technical skills can be learned anywhere today. But soft skills — teamwork, problem-solving, communication — are what truly open doors.” 

Motivation remains a key element: “If I don’t have internal motivation, I cannot develop myself, even if all the tools are available.” 

Her advice to young professionals is simple: “Always look beyond the challenge. Behind every obstacle, there is a skill to gain or an experience that will make you stronger. Focus on becoming better than you were yesterday.”
